Oh wow. I put together a group of 12 consisting of three adults and nine kids. I got a coupon for $5 to use in the store and cousin also shirt as well as stuff for the kids the store has lots of cool gear. We did lower Browns Canyon which was perfect for the kids. The boys both had a guide named Aaron who was funny and kept the boys entertained. For the couple hardest Rapids she let us father's look like Heroes by moving to the front of the boat and paddling like crazy LOL. It is expensive at least on my budget but is very comparable to all the other rafting companies that are available. We received a discount for the campsite (Arrowhead Point) we were staying in which was better than the military discount we were eligible for and they picked us up and took us back to our campsite. Thank you everyone at Wilderness awareness rafting! Y'all are the highlights of 9 kids summer!
We did the Brown's Canyon 1/2 day trip. We had a blast with Sara and Brandon (a.k.a Granola). My 12 yr old daughter wasn't too sure about the rafting thing. Sara encouraged her before and during the trip. She ended up having a good time. The equipment and facilities are new and clean. The staff is great....and the water's fine!
Our guide was awesome. We did the Brown's Canyon half day with two kids (11&13). It was not too hard, but still challenging enough to be fun.
We had hoped to be able to get an opportunity to white water raft during our recent girls trip to Colorado. Thankfully, we found Wilderness Aware Rafting. My best friend, my daughter and I were assigned to "Michael's Fun Boat" and FUN it was!! Michael did a FANTASTIC job guiding us down the river. He explained exactly what he needed from us in plenty of time and prepared us for what was to come perfectly. He expected us to work but to have a fun and exciting time too. We all felt safe and excited the entire time! We will absolutely be doing this again and most definitely with Michael at Wilderness Aware. If you're interested in some gorgeous scenery while working a bit through rapids and the river's obstacle course, then this is the spot to go. Stop thinking about doing it and instead just do it!
Great guides, been using them for years as we have biennial family reunions of 40-50 people and usually have 12-20 that want to raft!! Also, Keni was GREAT FUN on the river and very safe/knowledgeable. I know, as have private boat guided several class 4-6+ rivers and have been on white water for over 30 years.
