I'll be back again and again. We are already looking at doing one of the over night rafting trips with this company. Phenomenal experience all around and the highlight of my Colorado vacation.
On recommendation by my mom we checked out River Runners at Browns Canyon and we were impressed. We arrived early and the check in process was easy and straightforward. Our guide was Slater and he was the perfect fit for our boat. It seemed like there were guides who could deliver a variety of experiences for a variety of patrons. Slater was quieter in the boat and a little bit competitive. We had fun passing other boats and navigating through tougher parts of the river. Each boat had a unique experience with their guide and they all seemed pretty awesome. I'd recommend rafting with River Runners to anyone.
We did a half day on class 3/4 rapids and I couldn't recommend the experience enough. The time flew by and it was over long before I was ready to call it quits. We were on the rapids for three hours, so that is more of a testiment to how much fun we had.
This place is very educational. Highly recommend Matt as your guide!! He happens to be the most experienced of all the guides, and he is extremely safe & very knowledgeable of the Arkansas river. In addition, he may sing on your river rafting experience, but all good fun. We ended up having a great group of rafters and overall experience.
My family and I did the afternoon whitewater inflatable kayaking trip with River Runners. Our main guide was Kelsey along with Jessie and Ryan. They did a fantastic job keeping everyone safe and together. We had a great time! I would highly recommend River Runners and Kelsey for anyone looking to do the kayaking or paddle boarding adventure. If we ever end up back in town we would definitely do it again!
However, I do not recommend a guide there by the name of Jessie. He seemed to be too playful and did not respond appropriately when his group tipped over their raft. A person was hurt and afraid after being tipped over into the water, mainly because she could not find her daughters. Furthermore, Jessie the guide did not respond by helping his group back into the boat. He had to be told what to do. I recommend he receive more training for responding more effectively as well as promptly.
We had a great time today, our guide, Shelly was superb, very positive and fun, and pointed out a lot of neat things on the way. This was my first rafting experience and I will be sure to come back again. Such a great time! The staff who welcomed us was also very friendly, but I unfortunately did not recognize their names, but wanted to recognize their great care as well.
Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and kept us safe on the river. It didn't take long to get the basics of paddling, and I quickly fell in love with rafting.
